LAOLU will play on Saturday 7th of September at the Yard.


Born to a Nigerian father and Swiss mother in Berlin, Laolu's upbringing included exposure to Jazz and Soul through his parents' club "The Gallery" in Nigeria. He initially pursued saxophone and music theory in France but transitioned to electronic music after discovering Detroit techno pioneers. Laolu's musical journey continued in Geneva, where he began DJing and collaborating with Kadebostan. He released his first EP "O Fantasma" in 2010 on Berlin-based label Clap Your Hands. Over the years, Laolu has worked with various labels like Innervisions, Freude Am Tanzen, and Defected Clap Your Hands. Notable works include producing "Sene Kela" for Mr Raoul K's album in 2014, supported by Dixon and Mano Le Tough. Laolu has established himself as a reputable DJ in Geneva and performed across Europe, showcasing his versatile style blending rough techno and heartwarming house. His ability to capture diverse moods makes him very adept at setting the atmosphere in any club setting. Laolu will be taking over The Yard on Saturday, September 7th.
