Kölsch, born Rune Reilly Kölsch, is a Danish DJ and producer known for his emotional and melodic approach to techno. His music connects deeply with listeners, blending rich textures with moving melodies. His latest album, I Talk To Water, is a personal reflection on grief, inspired by the loss of his father, and incorporates intimate recordings from his father’s musical archives.

Kölsch’s career began with Kompakt’s Speicher series, where he developed his distinctive sound, mixing emotion with energy. Growing up in Copenhagen’s Christiana commune, surrounded by music and art, Kölsch was influenced by his father’s musical legacy. Today, he’s recognized for his ability to create music that resonates on a personal level, constantly evolving while staying true to his artistic vision.
