Black Coffee, born Nkosinathi Maphumulo, emerged as a leading figure in global electronic music, originating from Umlazi in Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. With a debut album in 2003, he showcased his soulful house music style. Over the years, he released acclaimed albums like "Africa Rising" and "Subconsciously." His innovative "Africa Rising" staging broke new ground in South African house music. Black Coffee's sound combines house with African percussion, jazz, and vocals, earning him international acclaim and festival appearances. He's also made notable productions, including a Grammy-winning album and collaborations with Alicia Keys and Drake. Beyond music, Black Coffee is dedicated to philanthropy and diverse passion projects. Despite his immense success, he remains humble, continually evolving his sound and deepening connections with audiences worldwide.
