ABOUT
Antoine Flipo (Glass Museum) steps into the spotlight with his first solo project a bold exploration at the crossroads of neoclassical music and electronic soundscapes.
At Voodoo Village, he unveils compositions that stretch and transcend the limits of the piano. In May 2020, during three intimate performances at Botanique, Flipo delved into the raw sonic potential of a grand piano using the “prepared piano” technique. He scratched, tapped, glued, and dismantled the strings liberating the instrument from its conventional form and offering a visceral, almost tactile live experience.
From this physical encounter with sound came a desire to translate those acoustic elements into the studio, sculpting them into immersive electronic textures.
Influenced by the likes of Nils Frahm, Four Tet, Binkbeats and Max Cooper, Flipo’s solo work resonates as a minimalistic echo of his creations with Glass Museum atmospheric, intricate, and deeply personal.
