Under the alias Acid Pauli, Martin Gretschmann crafts immersive, genre-defying journeys through sound, intuitive, unpredictable, and deeply emotional. His live/DJ sets go far beyond the club: techno and house dissolve into ambient textures, folk fragments, cinematic layers and playful experimentation.

Born in Bavaria and shaped by punk and indie in the late ’80s, Martin’s early fascination with samplers led to his first electronic project, Console, and eventually to a key role in The Notwist. But it was through Acid Pauli that his musical vision truly unfolded. A  space where improvisation, storytelling and sonic alchemy meet.

Whether performing at Day Zero, composing for films, or curating releases on his label Ouïe (founded with Nico Stojan), Acid Pauli blurs the lines between DJ and composer, stage and installation, ritual and rave. His sets don’t follow a structure, they create one. A spellbinding soundtrack for the ones who dance with eyes closed and minds wide open.
